She believes personal development maximizes professional development - this belief encouraged her to open her own business in Shanghai, back in 2020. In the past 2-3 years, some of her business went online/hybrid, which enriched her experience even more. Before taking on the challenge of becoming a Professional Coach, Trainer & Facilitator, Katarina worked in a private Chinese-owned company located in Shanghai - in fields of Sales, Marketing & Training. Her job was to build bridges between Chinese and Western service providers/customers: enhance communication, facilitate better understanding of cultural differences & train local staff on problem-solving, shifting perspectives, proactivity and other Soft Skills. Prior to moving to China, Katarina worked in Education for almost a decade - as a University Teacher - where she got interested in Trainings. Working at a private University gave her freedom to design courses creatively and she did exactly that, turning lectures into workshops! She is a Toastmaster [an International club where members improve their Public Speaking & Leadership Skills, headquartered in Englewood, Colorado]. Finally, she’s a Founder of elm Coaching & Training, her Cross-Cultural consulting company. She speaks English & Serbian fluently, working up on her Mandarin & Spanish.
