Do I Need To Be Accredited?
Coaching Accreditation
BOLDLY works with professional coaches from all backgrounds, and from all over the world. We know it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get accredited as a coach, and we encourage our BOLDLY partners to do so.
In some cases, our coaches aren't accredited. This might include:
- Coaches who have studied for their PhD in coaching psychology;
- Coaches who have been working in the industry for 20+ years before accreditations were around; or,
- Coaches who are currently in the process of getting accredited.
In most instances, we work with coaches who are either ICF or EMCC qualified. This means they have satisfied the coach training, mentoring, knowledge testing, and ethics standards of these organising bodies. You can find more information below about what it takes to get qualified as a coach through these bodies:
We often get approached by coaches who have done the coach training hours of these credentials pathways only - unfortunately coach training alone doesn't credential you to be a coach. As we're working with the personal lives, careers, minds and hearts of our coachees, it's essential that coaches have demonstrated their commitment to supervision and ongoing professional development, as well as a strong understanding of advanced coaching models, organisational systems, and complex themes of identity, transition, and leadership to name a few. BOLDLY will work with you while you gain this experience, but we need to demonstrate you're on your journey to mastery!
