After completing business school, I started my career in tech start-ups in Silicon Beach, CA, but then shifted to pursue clinical psychology. Upon completing my Master's in Psychology, I worked as a therapist and received a certification in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy [DBT] which combines a Cognitive-Behavioral technique with Mindfulness practices. Finding that I had over-corrected a bit, I left the clinical world to find my sweet spot between business and psychology in executive coaching about ten years ago. As a coach, I use all my business and start-up experiences coupled with positive psychology and a humanistic-ontological theoretical position to form the foundation of how I approached my practice. I trained as a coach under the Ericksonian approach which holds that people are already whole and resourceful when they come to coaching and that growth is merely an expansion of wholeness. With this holistic approach and my clinical understanding of group dynamics from over a decade of experience facilitating groups both in-person and online and an equal amount of time coaching individuals, I aim to elicit powerful mindset shifts with my clients by supporting them to transform unproductive beliefs into resourceful ones. I do this by utilizing neuroscience concepts of habit formation, the power of our imagination, and the convergence of this evidence that suggests sustainable development in people and organizations are the product of prospection, attention, intention, and then reflection.
