Ly
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Languages: English, Vietnamese

In 2020, I discovered what I was meant to do when I enrolled in my first Coach training program. Prior to this, I held a variety of positions in the sustainability sector, from project executive for a CSR initiative in an MNC, strategic consultant to NGOs to General manager in a social enterprise. Nonetheless, I could never find deep satisfaction for the impact I was making. Since there were so many parties involved in these jobs that were outside my control, I found myself burnt out and frustrated. I have always wanted something more impactful that can address the root causes of the issues humanity is facing and I can be solely responsible for generating this impact with who I am and what I have. Coaching enables me to turn my natural tendency into a skill set and process that creates a profound impact on a person’s life. After just one session, they undoubtedly feel more in control, but the partnership process is necessary to help them maximize their potential and become their best selves. The key factor that facilitates my transformation, surprisingly, is self-love. I wouldn't be able to overcome my own self-doubt, uncertainty, and outside criticism to make the tough decisions that ultimately lead me down a path that is genuinely soul-fulfilling if I didn't love myself. What stops us from embracing our dreams is rarely external circumstances, but the limiting beliefs we carry inside. Self-love is a verb, a choice, and a skill that can be mastered over time. At the end of 2020, I founded my own Coaching business, with a desire to spread positive change. If I can transform myself through self-love, I can replicate this process for my clients with Coaching. I’m proud to have helped hundreds of clients break free from social norms to practice self-love, commit to their own journey, shine as they are, and make an impact in their community.

-Passionate about helping leaders move from languishing to flourishing- With over 18 years of leadership and coaching experience across six continents, I have worked within a variety of global, national, and local organisations to help clients become the best versions of themselves—both professionally and personally. This includes Employment (Career) Services, Human Resources/Learning, and Development, Community Services, Finance, Government, Retail/Hospitality, Education and Tech. Within these industries, I have helped both experienced and emerging leaders as well as individual contributors with leadership development, career planning, confidence, communication, conflict resolution, executive function, change/uncertainty, wellbeing, and parenting. Whilst able to work across all areas of leadership development, some of the most common areas of positive gain that people walk away with from coaching with myself include: -Increased connection with self and others. Through coaching, leaders can gain a deeper understanding of their own strengths, weaknesses and needs, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of their team members. This can lead to improved communication and collaboration, and a stronger sense of connection within the team. -Improved communication skills. Effective communication is essential for any leader. Coaching has helped leaders develop their communication skills, so they can more effectively convey their ideas, build relationships, and resolve conflict. -Increased confidence. Almost all leaders have stated they have seen this as an outcome post coaching together! Coaching can help leaders develop a stronger sense of confidence in their abilities. This can lead to more assertive decision-making, greater risk-taking, and a more positive outlook on challenges. -Enhanced career/life development. Coaching can help leaders identify their career/life goals and develop a plan to achieve them. This can lead to promotions, increased responsibility, and greater job/life satisfaction. Many leaders have worked on this during our sessions and are now pursuing the career /life plans they were seeking. Passionate about DEIB, I am also a qualified ADHD coach and work with leaders to cultivate awareness of executive function and development of pragmatic skills to manage and thrive with their ADHD. This may be for the individual leader with ADHD or for any leader committed to cultivating and supporting staff with ADHD and a diverse workplace. The boring stuff... ICF-certified, I hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching and Leadership, a Bachelor of Social Science (Welfare/Youth work), and multiple Diplomas in Human Resource Management. I am also a fully accredited DISC and 360 assessment facilitator. The fun stuff! Personally I enjoy music and singing, travel, the beach and mountains, pilates and reading and spending time with my friends and family.
