Languages: English

Amanda Hahn brings a deeply human perspective to her work, shaped by a career spent inside complex organizations and a personal journey of growth, curiosity, and continual learning. Before becoming a coach and educator, Amanda spent more than 25 years in corporate retail, working in fast-paced, high-accountability environments. She led and participated in enterprise-wide system implementations, large-scale change initiatives, and periods of significant organizational transformation. Along the way, she experienced firsthand what it feels like to carry responsibility, navigate uncertainty, adapt to constant change, and balance ambition with sustainability. Those experiences sparked a deeper curiosity about people—how they grow, how they lead, and how they stay grounded when the pressure is on. Amanda’s path eventually led her back to graduate school to study organization development, where she began to integrate her practical leadership experience with a deeper understanding of human behavior, systems, and change. Teaching and learning remain central to who she is. She continues to teach at the graduate level and in ICF-accredited programs, believing that growth happens best when reflection and real-world experience meet. At her core, Amanda values presence, curiosity, and connection. She is known for creating spaces where people feel safe to think, question, and show up as themselves. Outside of work, she is an avid learner, an early adopter of new technologies, and someone who values time outdoors, meaningful conversations, and practices that support clarity and balance. Amanda believes that exceptional leadership—and an exceptional life—begin with self-awareness, choice, and the courage to grow. That belief shapes everything she does.

Dr Thomas has been coaching in Asia since 2012. He brings over two decades of leadership as a US military officer and years of teaching at major universities, in addition to his coaching experience in Asia. For 21 years he served as a strategist in the United States Air Force, retiring in 2010 as a Lieutenant Colonel. His career saw him start as a nuclear operations commander near the end of the Cold War before transitioning to a focus on complex operations such as peacekeeping, counterterrorism, and humanitarian assistance. He developed much of the Air Force's new strategy for the post-Cold War VUCA (Volatile - Uncertain - Complex - Ambiguous) environment, and was able to put those strategies into practice during challenging deployments to Macedonia, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. During his career he spent 7 years as a professor at the United States Air Force Academy, where he taught strategic studies and political science as he helped develop the incoming leaders for the Air Force. His final assignment, in the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon, saw him work primarily on a humanitarian mission with governments in Southeast Asia. Moving to Asia at the start of 2012, he spent 3 years as the Executive Advisor for CEB Corporate Leadership Council. In this role he advised Chief HR Officers from Asia-based multinationals in industries such as banking, telecom, hospitality, airlines, retail, government, international development, and more, in a dozen markets throughout the region. He then went on to found his own leadership coaching and training company, Designing Leaders, where he worked with leaders at all levels, from those taking on their first leadership role to those in the C-suite. Stepping back into the corporate world, he worked for The Economist Group as a geopolitical advisor to C-suite leaders in Singapore and Malysia, and later spent 3 years leading excutive development and onboarding for Amazon Web Services in Asia-Pacific. In addition to Singapore, he has also lived in Bangkok and Manila. Dr Thomas holds a PhD in Public Policy, with a focus on organizational culture and organizational change, as well as an MBA and a bachelor's degree in economics. In addition to teaching at the Academy, he was a professor at Georgetown University in Washington DC, where he taught graduate courses on Data Analysis for HR and on Multinational Business Policy, and served as an advisor in the program's Capstone course. He also taught as a Fulbright Scholar at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University, leading a graduate seminar on strategic culture. He is a Certified Professional Coach, accredited by the World Coach Institute. He focuses on the concept of Sustainable Leadership, helping leaders create an environment that sustains their organization's growth and that creates a culture where leadership turnover does not disrupt that growth. He finds that many clients benefit from the GROW model (Goal - Reality - Options - Will) of coaching, though he tailors the approach to the needs of each individual. His coaching practice has included leaders who are: - taking on a leadership role for the first time - preparing for their next leadership opportunity - leading a temporary project - experiencing, or planning for, organizational changes Beyond the workplace, he is an international marathoner, and one of the few people in the world to complete The Marathon Grand Slam: running a marathon on all 7 continents and at the North Pole. Having only started running at age 42, he learned the value of taking on new goals (and new risks) no matter one's age. His book,  CROSS THE LINES, shares lessons from that journey that support professional development, and he incorporates his athletic experience - along with his military, academic, and corporate backgrounds - to create the foundation for his coaching approach. With his diverse background, he works comfortably with a wide range of clients, and with leadership experience of his own in high-risk, complex situations, he is able to stand in the shoes of others and see things clearly from a leader's perspective. Using techniques from his classroom experience and his corporate advisory work, he helps clients discover solutions for themselves that will be best for their own unique situations.

A testimonial from a client named Aruna (Managing Director) : I am grateful for the transformative journey I got to experience under your guidance as my life coach. One of the most transformative lessons I learnt was the importance of embracing both negative and positive aspect of life instead of focusing on Positive aspect only. I found myself stuck in a cycle of resistance, unwilling to step outside my comfort zone. But with your coaching, I have learned the beauty of embracing discomfort and pushing beyond boundaries. My experience: Safe space for me to explore my deepest fear that was public speaking. Challenging yet inspiring and motivating. Outcome: Major shift in the way I perceive and interact with the world around me. My reward: Personal growth and self-discovery. Thanks Dipti, for challenging me to confront my fears and uniquely inspiring to step outside my comfort zone. HOP ON TO A CALL WITH ME IF YOU WANT TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY.

My career story is all about finding my way, helping others, and following my passion. It started in the world of Recruitment, where I learned the ropes of hiring, interviewing, and creating standout resumes. These were the skills that would shape my future. Then, a big moment came when I decided to move to Canada. It was like starting from scratch. The job market was new to me, and I didn’t have the contacts or know-how to navigate it. Job interviews felt like uncharted territory, and I had so many questions about how things worked in Canada. After some hard work and persistence, I landed a job at the same big company I’d worked for in Italy. It was a chance to learn the ins and outs of how Canadian employers hire, and my passion for helping others find their way in their careers kept growing. However, life threw me a curveball when I was laid off. In this uncertain time, I turned to an employment counselor for guidance. Their support inspired me to focus on helping people find the right career for them. My journey eventually led me to the UBC Sauder School of Business. I started in an admin role, but my dedication didn’t go unnoticed. Within a year, I was promoted to be a Career Coach. For 11 years, I helped students prepare for the job market and develop their careers in Canada. It’s here that I found my true calling, guiding and supporting countless individuals. In 2020, I became a certified ICF Professional Coach. During the pandemic, I took a big step and started my own career coaching business. My aim was to share everything I had learned with individuals and organizations who want to grow and change. This was a new chapter, one that allowed me to reach even more people on their journey to find the right career and make a big impact in their lives. My experiences have shaped me into a compassionate and experienced career coach, dedicated to assisting individuals in unlocking their full potential.

Kayla - Marketing Specialist - Sydney, Australia I recommend these coaching sessions for anyone who is willing to improve but needs help taking the right steps or needs help setting up a plan to achieve their goals Stephane - Varsity College, Durban, South Africa Before starting these sessions I was a bit rudderless in how I was going about my day to day life. This led me to believe that I wasn't really celebrating successes in my life & I was in a cycle where it was rinse & repeat from month to month, quarter to quarter, FY to FY. From my time with Tom I realised that I wasn't celebrating life goals because I didn't have any goals defined to celebrate. The sessions really helped me determine the type of person I want to be & also the goals that I can celebrate in being this person. It was a difficult exercise with a lot of internal reflection but the outcome has been amazing & I can say confidently that the rudderless cycle has come to an end.
